The fare by taxi from the airport to Mismaloya is approximately $25.00.
The white taxis have a monopoly on the business' at the airport and there is a
tax added to your fare.
To save some money you can cross the footbridge from the airport at the east end
and catch a yellow taxi . Simply cross the footbridge and wait at the bottom of
the stairs. The taxi drivers are aware of people crossing the footbridge and
will stop for you if you wait at the bottom of the stairs. Make sure you
negotiate a price before you get in. The fare is approximately $18.
Driving to Mismaloya from the airport, follow Highway 200 south. Beyond downtown
Puerto Vallarta the road is along the hills on the left and the ocean on the
right. It is curvy and narrow in spots, yet paved and not a difficult drive.
Just beyond Los Arcos (The Arches), large rock formations in the watere,
you will arrive at Mismaloya Bay.
By bus to Mismaloya from the airport, take a bus that says "Centro Puerto
Vallarta". You will then have to transfer to the bus to Mismaloya which departs
from Calla Constitucion and Basilio de Badillo.
