Take a step back in time to the village of the Embera people
in the Parara Puru
of the Chagre's River area
Your journey begins with a short ride in the powered dugout up-river to the main
village.
Locals will greet you with drums and flute music as you arrive at the landing.
While there you can mingle with the people, take photos, explore the village and
just relax in this tranquil setting that seems so far away from the modern day
hustle and bustle most of us live in.
You will discover that pure joy and smiles are created from within and not by
the conveniences and possessions of modern day life.
The people are very friendly and enjoy demonstrating their traditional dances as
well as showing off their craftwork. You may even be invited to join the
dancing.
You will be guided up-river with a short boat ride and short hike up the stream
to the beautiful falls where you may swim in the natural pool created by the
falls.
