Wish Upon a Smile, a local Puerto Vallarta area program operated by
the International Friendship Club of Puerto Vallarta, was founded in
1987 and in 1991 was granted Registered Charitable Status by the
Mexican Government.
The Children and Families In Need is a U.
S. 501(c) 3 foundation whose mission is to fund the various
charitable functions of the International Friendship Club. The Club
is a volunteer organization operated totally without personal gain
and operated on a committee structured basis.
The Cleft
Palate program provides the following for the children in the Bay of
Banderas area in Mexico
Medical / Hospital

free cleft lip and palate surgery

follow-up hospital care

comprehensive dental care

orthodontics

prosthetic teeth

speech therapy

corrective eye and ear surgery

burn scar treatment

Free Medication to needy patients
of all ages Regional Hospital

Medical assistance for disaster
victims (flood, fire, etc)

This incredible quarterly surgical program survives on as little as
$50,000. a year. You can help by donating all or part of their needs in the form
of money or services.
Presently for the May 2012 Surgical Program

$1500. US
dollars are needed every three months for airfare for the Voluntary Medical Team from
Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta.

$1200. US
dollars are needed for brochure design and printing services to attract
additional local and/or international Sponsors.

Computers are
needed to organize the multiple patient files surgical schedules and follow
up procedures. All documentation is presently being hand written.
